In the areas of Jigomoni and Wuluturu in Yei, a large group of armed men were moving from house to house in the middle of the night, calling residents by names as they knocked on their doors and demanding that the residents open them. They asked for money or valuables like phones before moving on to the next house. Victims reported that the armed men appeared to be soldiers. One victim said that he did not have any money but they took his phone; others reported that, in the event that someone did not have either of the things they were asked for, the armed men would leave. However, if they called someone's name and that person did not open their door, the men kicked doors open and forced their way in. These are very traumatizing events that the residents of those areas have recently faced.
