The old man and the young girl were travelling from Yei to Tore on a motorbike. The bike was found on the ground with both the man and the young girl missing, but their load intact. Family confirmed that people claiming to be holding the two individuals had contacted them and requested a specific amount of money for their release. The family obliged and both individuals were released after four (4) days. We could not establish the amount of money the family paid in ransom. Both the old man and the girl are okay; they said there were not beaten nor treated badly. Travelling in this part of the country has become dangerous but people have no other options than to take the risk.
