This rumour is confirmed false and is of high priority – here's why:
This message was designed to create fear and panic to the population and it lacks merit by all standards. Twist Soda was introduced in the USA by the Pepsi company as the manufacturer and not any Chinese company. The claim that 180 people died in Nigeria after consuming the drink is not true. By the time that this rumour was reported Nigeria had only 40 confirmed COVID-19 cases and one death, according to Google Crisis Response.
